Clarus Guignet and Gaëlle Jeanbourquin develop performative works at the intersection of fantasy, role-playing, and the performing arts. At the core of their practice lies the question of how the aesthetic and social codes of these popular narrative forms can be embodied and made perceptible on stage in new ways. Drawing on a close personal connection to these universes, the artists do not view them as mere forms of escapism, but as complex spaces of thought and experience where social, ecological, and political issues become visible. Through a transdisciplinary practice that connects body, space, and play, they create formats that make these themes accessible to a wide audience and bring out their collective dimension. In doing so, the project generates artistic situations that foster collective imagination, explore alternative forms of coexistence, and open up new perspectives on the present and the future.
